Tahoe...Meeks Bay

It's only fitting to close this marathon of posts with hands down the absolute best part of the Tahoe experience....MEEKS BAY. My personal happy place.

All those 40+ years ago when my family started going to Lake Tahoe this is where we stayed. I still remember my grandparents single room condo on the end, needing to stand in buckets of water before I went inside, and the literal hours and hours on the beach. Even though we don't stay here anymore, this is where you will find us...parked in our chairs, books/shovels/snacks in hand most days we are at Tahoe.

Stuart caught his yearly goose.

McKenna loves getting buried by cousins

One night Julie and Ruth even brought dinner to us there...it was awesome.

Nothing like a Grandma's lap

It is Uncle Bo's yearly tradition to buy Popsicles for everyone and the kids gather round eagerly awaiting one.

On the last day of the week it's always hard to pull us away. We want to soak up all we can and we stay till early evening enjoying every possible last second. Letting it fill us up to last until next summer.

Good bye Lake Tahoe...until next year!
