One Last Snow Day

It seemed like every week in February I was telling my kids to enjoy this snow day because it was probably going to be the last one, and with moving to Utah it would be the last one they EVER had!!!  

Saying that to them so much of course ensured the fact that we continued to have snow days well into March.  No complaining was going on in our household about it.  Last school year we had 14 snow days and this year we were right behind with 13!  So when one last big snow storm rolled around we made sure to make the most of of it.  Lots of playing in the snow, sledding, building snow forts, games, hot chocolate, reading, movies, yummy breakfasts and just being together!  And this time around, it really was the last storm that brought about their last snow days.

Snow Days will definitely be some of our most cherished memories of living on the East Coast.

Disney World Part 2:

Our second day in the parks was a big one, we were able to hit the other three parks and do the highlights there all in one day!  Grayson was also much happier the second day.  I think he finally relented that he was going to need to sit in the stroller and wait in some lines. 

We started out in Animal Kingdom.  We did the dinosaur 3-D ride, some little rides for Grayson, Mount Everest two times, the Safari and the Lion King show.  

Out of all the times we've been there this was by far the best Safari we've been on.  Animals were everywhere and very active!  It was so much fun.

We then went over to Hollywood Studios where we stood in two of our longest lines.  But it was worth it for everyone to ride the Rockin' Roller coaster and to experience the new Toy Story ride.  

While the big kids were on the roller coaster Grayson and I waited to meet Donald.  This was his first character meeting and he was in heaven.  He ran up to Donald, gave him a big hug and wouldn't stop hugging him.  It was the most adorable thing!

We ended the day at Epcot where we did everything we wanted to!  The Race-track, the rocket to the moon, Soaring over California, a yummy dinner, fireworks, and character greets.  Grayson finally fell asleep as soon as we got to Epcot.

Grayson and I went to meet Mickey and his friends while everyone else did the rocket ship.  They finished up and we had time to meet them again as a family before the firework show.  

Abby and Goofy have always had a special relationship!

And then we made them do it again at the same time!  

Thank you Mickey for a great two days!  Next time we'll see you in the West Coast at Disneyland!!!

Disney World Part 1:

Moving away from the East Coast soon means we just HAD to squeeze in one more trip to Disney World.  And so we did just that the last week of February.  The end of February is the perfect time to go because the weather is warm but spring breaks have not started yet.  This trip was a little extra special because Bret found amazing airline tickets and we were able to fly down instead of do the 13 hour drive which is what we always do.  These boys were almost more excited about flying on the plane then Disney World itself.

The first day we explored the resort we were staying at and spent some time in Downtown Disney

Our second day there we went to the Magic Kingdom.  Grayson was already having his first of many meltdowns of the day when we entered the park...so he was not in this first picture.  (For a boy who hates to be controlled and told what to do all the time the first day at Disney was rough.  He hated having to wait in line and being forced to sit in the stroller to walk to different sections of the park.  He loved the rides themselves, just not the in-between.)

The tea cups has become a ride that the kids do all by themselves.  Bret and I can't handle them anymore without getting sick.

This is a blurry picture but I love Grayson's face, he wasn't too sure what to think about the spinning himself.

For the most part we didn't have to stand in long lines with a few exceptions.  The girls entertained themselves and everyone else around them too.

Thunder Mountain was a favorite because we could all go on it together.  Grayson LOVED it and wanted to go on it again and again.

My little princesses are not little anymore!  

One of the highlights of the day for me was riding space mountain at night after the fireworks show with the kids.  Gavin and Abby both discovered on this trip that they LOVE roller coasters.  On our last time on space mountain I was sitting in front of Gavin and the entire ride he was yelling "I'M JUST SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!  I'M SO HAPPY!!"   It was adorable.
