Day Two: started early at 6:30 in the morning..."Mom, I climbed the ladder to see if Zachary was there and he wasn't." Bounce and Play, lunch out with friends, parade, dinner/swimming party with the Stephenson's and Carters. Too tired to cry himself to sleep.
Day Three: church, naps, dinner/games/fireworks with the Stephenson's.
Day Four: Fourth of July pool party and BBQ with lots of friends from church. More crying at night because he misses his family so much.
Day Five: He spent literally ALL day with Claire who just got home from the beach. Girls Night Out with good friends.
Day Six: Pre-op doctor visit in the morning, then Gavin spent the day with the Harris boys. Movie night with mom at home that night.
Day Seven: Surgery!!! Went extremely well. He recovered great and nose looks better. Then more recovery time for both of us at Claire's house.
Day Eight: Hair cut, bank, library, then Gavin spent the afternoon at the Harris's again. I joined them for dinner and a movie night.
Day Nine: First air-plane ride! Reunite with our family!!!
We've done it! Thanks to good friends who kept both of us busy and entertained, it ended up being a great week!
