Finally it feels like Christmas!

It is finally beginning to look and feel like Christmas in our home. Christmas books are wrapped, stockings are hung, nativities are around, candles are burning, ovens will hopefully soon be baking, the tree is up. And I love it. We're normally the day after Thanksgiving type but this year has been a little crazy. The girls have started setting their alarm clock 10 minutes earlier so they can come downstairs and we can cuddle up in a cozy blanket on the couch and look at the tree all lit up in the mornings. One of my favorite things is when the kids are in bed, the house is picked up, and I can sit with a nice warm cup of hot chocolate will all the lights turned off except the tree. I just love it.

One of our favorite traditions is sleeping under the Christmas tree. In years past Abby has always gotten a little scared and ended up in her own bed sometime during the night. This was the first year she made it through the whole night under the tree. We drink hot chocolate, listen to Christmas music, share favorite Christmas memories and of course there is a lot of giggling.

We woke up from sleeping under the tree and headed to the ward's breakfast with Santa. Our ward has an abundance of little kids. The breakfast started at 8:30, we got there are 8:40 and we were numbers 56-58 to see Santa. Zachary is asking for video games on TV like Scotti Fredrick, Abby is asking for a jump rope, and McKenna wants lots of toys and jewelery. I think Gavin would be happy with a high chair.
