McKenna's Party

Six years ago in a Galaxy far far away a girl was born with the power of the Force...What kind of party do you expect from a six year old girl...one might say Hannah Montana, or High School Musical, or even Princess...but oh no, not my six year old. McKenna wanted a Star Wars birthday party! And it was a BLAST!
She was Princess Leia which is actually her Halloween costume this year.
Bret greeted all the kids at the door as Darth Vader.
Abby was Anikan and Zachary was a young Jedi in training.
Upon arrival we "suited up" all the kids in their appropriate Jedi gear, along with light sabers made out of pool noodles. Of course it was only a matter of seconds before Darth Vader was under attack by all these young Jedi's in training.
McKenna had five good friends over for her party...Kaleb, Noah, Kalin, Hannah, and Camille.
We had a Darth Vader pinata that was safely executed with pull strings, although the kids were allotted one kit with their light saber before pulling a string.
And of course all mayhem broke loose when the candy was out!
I made a Darth Vader/Chibacha cake....it started out as Darth Vader but to simplify I just used brown chocolate frosting instead of making black...Bret walked in the kitchen and said, "Hey, that's a cool Chewy." Either way McKenna loved it.
We had an asteroid hunt in the back yard.
We played "save Princess Leia" I had about 75 black balloons and in six of them were pictures of Princess Leia...the kids loved stomping on them and popping them with their light sabers.
We even played "Yoda Says" with our own personal Yoda!
One of these is not like the other.
After completing their Jedi training these young Jedi knights had another round with Darth Vader.
Check out the look on his face...he's out for blood!
When asking McKenna what she liked best about her party...she of course answers opening her presents!
