Friday Field Trips

Friday Field Trips are one of my favorite things about summer. The kids love them and we have so much fun. This summer is going to be especially fun because Bret is going to come on them. He'll be working on campus Monday-Thursday so Friday's he'll get to spend with us. So fun! Even if we do something simple the key is to have a fun name and do something every Friday. For example going to get ice cream is much more fun when it is a Friday Field Trip rather then just getting ice cream!

Friday Field Trip #1: BYU Bean Museum

We didn't venture out very far for our first field trip because I had a doctor's appointment that day, but the kids always love a visit to the Bean Museum!

Gavin was so excited about all the animals...at least from a distance that is.

Bret just couldn't resist putting Gavin's head in the big mouth of the hippopotamus...

and then the lion.


Don't worry, no permanent damage done. He was still just as excited about all the animals as before he became their food.

Friday Field Trip #2: Discovery Park with cousins

This was so fun! In all my summer visits to Utah I had never taken my kids to this park. It was great, one of the best parks we've ever been to. We're definitely making a return visit. Of course it was made even more fun for Zachary as he, Scotti and Will all brought their star wars guns!
