Today...

Today I slept in an extra half hour.

Tried to deal with an inconsolable 2 year old who woke up way to early.

Still managed to get the kids to the bus stop on time.

Did a P90X work out...

And then winced every time I walked up the stairs.

Put that extra tired, extra cranky two year old down for an early nap.

Made my Grandma's recipe for ginger snap cookies for Friday Treats.

Got out my fall scented oils and candles and breathed in the smell of Fall. Happy sigh.

Cleaned the kitchen.

Got in my personal scripture time...sat in the kitchen so I could smell the scented oil.

Blogged.

Worked on Sharing Time for Sunday.

Drove 30 minutes to the church with a friend to set up for the Primary Activity in the morning. Had a big boy helper helping me move around tables and chairs and get rooms set up.

Had great conversations with this dear friend.

Went through the Chick-Fil-A drive through and was very tempted by an oreo milkshake...resisted and was satisfied with my chicken salad. VICTORY for me!

Found a a very cute purse at Sam's Club for $20...splurged and got it.

Got home just in time to meet the bus.

Put that still tired, still cranky, two year old down for another nap.

Hosted kids and friends for Friday Treats and thought to myself how I love when my home is filled with my children's friends.

Dozed off a little on the couch while watching Oprah's Wildest Dreams Come True.

Turned power on and off while Bret did something or other to an electrical outlet trying to get power back to the front of our house...still no power. I tell him we at least need it by December...otherwise where are we going to plug the Christmas Tree in?

Got in the car with the fam and headed to Staunton to one of America's top 10 drive-in's with family friends. If the french fries are actually sweet potato fries does that mean they are healthy? Yum.

Danced our hearts out on the patio of said drive-in to classic jukebox tunes. Smiled from ear to ear watching my kids boogie on down with no inhibitions.

Home. Scriptures. Prayers. Kids to Bed. Hugs. Kisses. Songs.

And now I'm going get in my pj's and curl up on the couch with my hubby to watch a movie.

Today...it's been a good one!
