After an epic summer, the first day of school finally arrived...
Fourth Grade for this handsome kid of mine...
Gavin was probably the most excited first grader in the entire school! He was so cute all morning long. In his personal prayers he prayed he wouldn't be tired. And all morning he wanted to know what he needed to do next to follow our morning routine. He's going to have a great year!

With McKenna and Abby both in middle school it's just these two to the bus stop in the morning.
Grayson walking his brothers to the bus stop. Poor kid, he doesn't realize they are leaving him for 8 hours.
Bus stop crew...
McKenna, first day of 6th grade, aka MIDDLE SCHOOL!
In her own words, "I'm going to rock middle school Mom!"
And no, I don't think she was really this excited for school to start. She just likes taking jumping pictures!
Abby, totally feeling like the top dog in eighth grade this year.
My girls were in a funny mood this morning and were totally wanting me to take pictures of them. This NEVER happens so of course I was happy to oblige!
How is it possible I have two girls in middle school? I sure am glad they not only have each other but that they really do like each other!
Poor Grayson didn't know what to do with himself all day. He kept asking where everyone was and asking to go to the bus stop as if just by walking to the bus stop the kids would magically appear.
That afternoon this is how I was greeted from the bus. Not only was Gavin the first one off, but he came running over to me with that huge grin of his to give me a hug.
Let's just take a closer look at how adorable this is!
And then there was Zach who not only was the last one off the bus but covered his face because he didn't want me to take a picture of him. Luckily he was smiling under that hand of his.
First day of school recap:
Everyone LOVES their teachers.
The hallways are crazy crowded at the middle school.
Zachary has a pretty big bully in his class this year (not looking forward to that!)
McKenna never got lost and was able to open her locker.
Zachary is again the only Caucasian in his class.
Gavin says P.E. is boring. (no running or activities, just boring rules!)
Abby's Spanish teacher is LDS
Abby has lots of friends in classes and at lunch.
McKenna met some really nice girls that she's excited to be friends with.
Everyone is happy which makes for a happy and grateful Mom!
Mom needs to figure out what to do to keep Grayson entertained all day.
