Day Two we woke up and were in Cast Away Cay, probably my all time favorite beach and definitely my favorite day on the cruise!
We made the kids take a few pictures before they headed into the ocean and never came out again.
Our plan of attack this day was to be one of the first people off the boat to make sure we got a good spot on the beach. Mission accomplished because we had the most perfect spot for our family. We were right up close with a view of the bay, beach and boat. The fun water structure was directly behind us and the entry for snorkeling (which some of us ended up doing most of the day) was 5 feet in front of us.
Disney had built this fun water slide structure that emptied out right into the ocean. The kids had fun on it, but only did it a few times. Another bonus of being one of the first off the boat was we did this first thing in the morning before there was any line.
Gavin was very nervous about a slide into the ocean. He wanted to get a life jacket and then McKenna was nice enough to go with him.
After hitting the slide a few times we put on our snorkel gear and headed out into the water.
I was actually really surprised by how great the snorkeling was. If you ask the kids what one of their favorite parts of the trip was, this will definitely be in their answer, they LOVED it!
Gavin was thrilled when we saw one little fish, and then had had enough. His favorite part of the day was probably collecting little white sea shells.
Of course we built a sand castle!

It came as no surprise that Abby and Zach were our little fish. They went snorkeling 3 different times and I'm sure would have gone more.
Late afternoon we headed back to the boat to catch a showing of Frozen.
The boys thought it was fun that Captain Hook greeted them as we got back on board.

That night Bret and I got to eat at Palo, the adult only Italian restaurant. It was so wonderful!
This was the only picture of us at the nighttime shows, but the entertainment was excellent. Every night we ended up sitting in the same spot...front row on the left.
Gavin and his hamburgers. This is him eating a hamburger at 10:00 p.m. Yep! I figured why not, take advantage and go for it buddy. We counted that this day in particular he ate four hamburgers!
The kids loved all the towel animal creations left for us at night. These were two of our favorites.
