We have been lucky enough to visit the Galovans almost every summer after our Lake Tahoe week but we haven't seen the other couples in almost 10 years. It's sad to say that we managed to live within 6 hours of the Moores for a year and a half and never made a visit. So moving here and knowing the Dudleys were going to be 3 1/2 hours away we did not want to make the same mistake twice. Because of Matt doing some interviewing they were able to make it up our way and it was so great to see them! They came over and we spent Sunday evening together and Heather and the kids were able to come back and spend Monday with us.
It was absolutely wonderful. I loved that even though we haven't seen them in 10 years, even though we've never met any of their kids, it was absolutely natural and comfortable. The true test of friendship is being able to pick right back up, and that's exactly what happened. We just love this family.
One of the funnest parts was seeing how our families have grown. They now have five kids and with our four it was quite the crew. Left to Right, Warren, Spencer, Parker, Abigail, Emma, McKenna, Zachary, Samantha and Gavin. All these little angles we've been blessed with.
(I really hate pictures taken from below...but what are you going to do when the only one there to take your picture is your eight year old who can hardly hold your camera up to her little eye!)
Thanks for the visit Dudleys! We LOVED it and can't wait till next time!
