Zion National Park

WARNING...THE POST CONTAINS LOTS OF PICTURES! :)

Friday Field Trip to Zion National Park:

Being down in Southern Utah one more time we couldn't resist taking the kids to Zions one more time before heading out East. So one day, two moms and eight kids eight and under ventured out! And amazingly we even completed a 2.6 mile hike to Emerald Pools. It was beautiful and the weather was actually very pleasant.

Abby and Colin (I really wish I had access to my hard drive to insert a picture of them from preschool years)

All the kiddos...minus the two babies. Carter, Zachary, Jane, Abby, McKenna and Colin.

Gavin was just as happy as could be all day. Of course it did help that he was attached to the back of his favorite person.

Zachary was hilarious, he got down below this rock and said, "Mom, take a picture of this it's really cute"... and what do you know, it does happen to be my favorite picture of him from the whole trip!

Upon arriving at the third pool it wasn't long before my kids and Colin were chest deep in the water. The question could be asked, are we bad parents if ours were the only kids in the pool?

Upon reaching the bottom of the trail this is how I happened to find the kids...Gavin watching from the sidelines while Colin and my oldest three were once again chest deep in water this time the Virgin River that flows through Zion National Park. Needless to say I think they had a good time

Wet...and a little cold

Colin, Kate, Dayna, Jane and Colin
